2023 was a year of many changes.
I achieved much of what I set out to do. I achieved moderate financial freedom by getting a full-time job. Within the year, I switched to a different role with more responsibilities.
We moved into a house. This has been a taxing yet rewarding process. Houses are better than apartments, but because we prioritized moving we subsequently didn’t travel to Europe. We don’t have a trip planned for the future.
In 2023 I discovered new passions which then found a way into my daily life. I started taking ballet classes and now I dance four times a week. I graduated to pointe after rigorous work strengthening my ankles and improving my technique. I even performed in the Nutcracker for the first time!
I started learning piano from my husband. My perspective changed from defeat to “I can do this”. I have learned three pieces in 2023 and I find myself practicing every day, not because I should, but because I enjoy the process and find it relaxing.
Other things either didn’t happen or took a backseat. I decided that running my own business just isn’t something that brings me joy. I don’t think I will be returning to the Lectory as a serious endeavor in the next five years.
But without further adieu, here are my newly revamped 2024 goals. I wrote these down in my journal at the beginning of the year but figured I would post them here as well.
